Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to approach individual impairments which cannot be ignored but do not need inpatient hospitalization to manage. The program is highly individualized and can be as little as one group per week and as many as 3 days per week of activities designed to enable patients to create opportunities and develop their potentials to make better choices and to discover and develop abilities that will improve every aspect of their life.  There is a generalized psychiatric track and two distinct branches that will focus on the specific needs of patients with certain challenges. The eating disorder track for adolescents and adults will focus on those struggling with anorexia, bulimia, over exercising,  over eating, restricting and other impairments interacting with nutrition and food. We will provide comprehensive evaluation, multi disciplinary treatment, supervised meals, evidence based group therapy, CBT and DBT, nutritional education and counseling, anxiety managements and stress reduction and yoga. The addiction track for older adolescents and adults is able to provide outpatient medical detoxification for a variety of substances abused including alcohol and opiates, as coordinated by a liscenced Suboxone prescriber, stimulants and other commonly abused substances.  This track will use comprehensive evaluation, multi disciplinary treatment, evidence-based group therapies including CBT, pharmacological support to reduce cravings and help maintain sobriety in those for whom 12 step treatment alone is not enough.
